Hi, I’m Amy…

I’ve been involved in the arts since I can remember - from making creations in my mom’s home art studio to owning a gallery where I featured over 85 local artists and makers. It’s only recently, however, that I started taking painting seriously. Now I’m bursting with inspiration and soaking up all I can learn!

I’m a lover of all things “home,” including interior design, gardening and nesting. Rearranging furniture, art, and decor is a 3-D form of expression that satisfies my need for hands-on, in-the-moment creativity. It’s like a magical elixir for transformation!

Traveling to places I love - Maine, CA, Paris, and the Hudson Valley to name a few - always provides fresh inspo for my artwork. New palettes, textures, patterns, and vibes - it seems endless in the best way.

One of the most formative experiences of my art education was studying The Art of Looking and related courses at The Barnes Foundation (original location). I’ve been a nonprofit Executive Director twice, including 8 years for a Philly arts nonprofit where I curated over 40 art shows. I have degrees in Art History and Historic Preservation (the focus of the other nonprofit). I’ve worked for two interior designers and I did a short stint at the National Gallery of Art.

I’ve also done a lot of freelance writing, and I wrote my own book that I recently edited it into an eBook/Workbook. The word/image combo always feels satisfying and it’s satisfying to bring my inner world onto the page.

My happ(iest) place is painting in my home studio. When the weather is nice, I move it outside onto my patio. I’m all about the alfresco experience, whatever I may be doing.

Wishing you artful inspiration every day!
